Trans*Art is an art exhibition that puts trans creation center stage. Art is a powerful tool for expressing and sharing our inner worlds, and it constitutes a basis for cultural and community formation. Art is especially important to the trans community because it has the power to give abstract feelings expression in the material world and echo life experiences. The decision to display this exhibition at the Trans Center was made from a desire to make a connection between the physical space and the experiential space, between the personal and the communal, and to celebrate our rich trans culture.
