What services are provided at the center?
The Trans Center’s team provides a wide variety of services: Personal assistance and support with exhaustion of rights, access to information, healthcare and medical consultation, and more. All of these are provided in a welcoming and comfortable space, which serves as a social and cultural home for our community. We hold various social activities, classes, lectures, and groups of all kinds. You can receive updates about all of the Trans Center’s services and activities through the following channels:

Who can visit the Trans Center?
Anyone who can enjoy and benefit from the center’s services and knowledge is invited to contact us. The Trans Center mostly focuses on the following groups:

Who are the Trans Center’s services meant for?
Our services are available to trans people across the gender spectrum and their families. If you identify as trans, or are questioning your gender identity, our services are meant for you and your family.
Our services are open and accessible to all groups within the trans community, including interpretation services, which we provide as necessary.
Can you also access services or join activities remotely?
Absolutely! You can schedule phone or video calls with our team.
While most activities take place physically at the Trans Center, you can still join some activities remotely. If this option exists, it will be noted as part of the invitation.
Are all activities open to everyone?
While some of the Trans Center’s activities are open to everyone, some are intended for a particular group, and are closed to those who are not included in it. This is done to protect the privacy and/or relevance of the activity for the participants. These types of restrictions are specifically noted in our event invitations.
For example, some of our activities are meant for a certain age group, for family members, for people planning to undergo certain procedures, or for people with specific gender identities or of specific groups.
Some of our events require you to register in advance.

Do I need to register for activities?
Yes, most of the center’s activities require you to register in advance. Registration allows us to prepare according to the number of participants, and to update the participants in case of any changes in schedule. Visiting the open space on Wednesdays between 16:00 and 21:00 does not require registration.
If you’ll need to register in advance, this will be noted on the invitations posted on our social network accounts and on our website, along with the registration link.

There are additional bus lines that stop some hundreds of meters from the center (a few minutes’ walk at an average pace), for example at HaMasger Street.
The Trans Center is located 1.2km from Tel Aviv HaShalom Train Station (about 15 minutes’ walk at an average pace).

When is the center open?
The Trans Center is open every Wednesday between 16:00 and 21:00. During this time, we’re hosting a regular “open space,” where you can come at any time, sit in our living room area, browse our library, have some coffee with a friend, chat with the staff, work or study by yourself, or whatever else.
At any other time, please only come to the center after scheduling an appointment in advance or to attend specific activities (some of the activities require prior registration). You can arrive up to one hour before any activity starts.
What is the mentoring service?
At the Trans Center, you can receive personal assistance from a trans mentor, according to your specific needs and goals.
Personal assistance at the Trans Center is provided based on the experience, lives, and insights of people from within the trans community, people you can to talk at eye level, explore, reflect, and ask questions in a space that is supportive, accepting, and non-judgmental. Our mentors also offer assistance with the exhaustion of rights, help with bureaucracy, in-person accompaniment for appointments or meetings, and more. Does the center provide metal health care?
The Trans Center does not currently offer therapy. Our team can assist in connecting you with bodies providing therapy and facilitating treatment, including public services provided free of charge or at a subsidized rate.
The Trans Center is working on several cooperation projects with various entities providing therapy at a reduced cost, out of recognition of the trans community’s need for suitable and friendly mental health care.

What do the center’s nursing services include?
The center’s nurse offers the following services:

General medical consulting, including guidance for maintaining good health, and preventive healthcare.

Consultation regarding medical gender-affirming procedures – hormone therapy, surgery, vocal training, and more.

Instruction in preparation for surgery and recovery, including dilation (vaginal training).

Administration of injections, and self-injection instruction (please prepare a written request from your doctor).

Consultation regarding safer sex and STIs.
Nursing services are provided free of charge on Tuesdays between 17:00 and 21:00. Please schedule an appointment in advance
